Welcome to the April 2021 edition of RECAP! In this month’s edition we take a look at gender inequality in cities and examples of a larger movement by women and girls around the world to reclaim and reshape public spaces to work better for them. We see how Lacaton and Vassal's Pritzker prize win suggests the answer to greener cities is less about demolition and more about refurbishment.

We look at the
blurred boundary between home and city, between private and shared spaces in Lola Domènech and Lussi Partners' beautiful co-housing project in Barcelona, plus Catalan architects Bosch Capdeferro's elegant low-embodied carbon timber housing project, 6 x6 block. We also look at two great passivhaus designs and a building made of recycled corks and oyster shells...and much, much more. We hope you enjoy it!
