Happy New Year to all our dear readers and welcome to this slightly belated January 2021 edition of RECAP. We hope you're all keeping safe and surviving these testing times. Things will surely get better soon, won't they?!

In this month's edition we take a look at ZAV Architect’s colourful housing scheme on Hormuz Island in Iran. We see how Barcelona is reclaiming traffic lanes to improve air quality and democratise public space. We look at two projects which have been built to, erm...be taken apart, allowing us to reflect on how products and components can be reused or recycled for a cleaner, greener future. We also take a look at Studio Precht's vision for the Toronto Tree Tower- a skyscraper made of wood and plants...plus much much more. We hope you enjoy it!

RECAP is our monthly newsletter which showcases a selection of architecture and design projects from across Europe and beyond, with a focus on sustainability, innovation and socially responsible design principles that show a greater respect for human scale, biodiversity and the environment.
