​The proposal takes an existing one-storey dwelling occupying the top floor of an apartment building and increases its gross floor area by 95 m2 over two floors.  The new three bedroom duplex apartment includes spacious open plan living, views of the city and stairs to a top floor en-suite master bedroom and roof terrace. The proposal is formed of lightweight construction which can be placed on top of the building without further structural reinforcements and is seen as an effective use of land.​
